Remote Classroom Training With a Live Instructor Over the Internet
Classroom-based training with a live instructor over the Internet. Students get to:
- Participate in class from anywhere in the world with a compatible computer and reliable access to the Internet
- Interact with the instructor and other students through a virtual classroom interface
- Perform course lab exercises through the Guru Labs Remote Classroom Labs environment
- Receive Guru Labs world-class Linux Training courseware
Guru Labs Remote Classroom Training Labs
The Guru Labs Remote Classroom Lab is a robust environment that allows students from anywhere in the world access to a live remote Linux system over the Internet. With the Guru Labs Remote Classroom Lab students are able to:
- Have root access to a Linux system over the Internet
- Reboot/re-install the system and access TTY consoles (CTRL-ALT-F2) with ease
- Receive assistance from the instructor who can help with "over the shoulder" simultaneous access to the Remote Lab session
- Choose (prior to start of class) any number of supported Linux distributions i.e., RHEL, CentOS, SLES, Ubuntu, etc. to use during the training.
Guru Labs Remote Classroom Training
The Guru Labs Remote Classroom Training lecture environment is powered by Elluminate Live!. This well seasoned tool facilitates the collaboration between students and instructors. Through the lecture interface students can:
- Connect to the audio and video of the classroom to hear, speak, and see the instructor and other students
- View the slides and white board work
- Collaborate by chat (public and private) with the instructor and other students
- "Raise Hand" to alerting the instructor
- Express emotions through emoticon icons (laughter, confusion, applause, disagreement)
- Participate in polling (yes/no, multiple choice, pacing, etc.)
- Have one-on-one or small group collaboration in the breakout rooms
